Every time I try to pitch the "short version" of this mf's deal it's still ridiculously convoluted, so I will try my best here:

Tim used to be a normal theatre himbo with a mountain of student loan debt, but the gig he took to pay it off wound up deleting his old identity and transformed him into a de facto clone of the guy responsible for ruining basically everyone else's lives. While in Jack's employ, Tim helped Jack wreak all kinds of havoc and destruction in pursuit of more and more power. My man has killed a... whoooooole bunch of people, though he'll be the first to tell you he didn't do it voluntarily. Hopefully as he serves his sentence here, he can stop claiming he was "just following orders" and will learn to take ownership of his own actions.

At his current canon point, Timothy's tyrannical old boss has been dead for seven years, while Timothy himself has been imprisoned inside a space casino with a bunch of feral gangs who really want him dead. The Peregrine's a paradise by comparison, so even though he's sure the Navarch picked up the wrong Jack (after all, he's innocent!! mostly.), he's actually a little worried about being sent back home.

Hello everyone, I'm Jo and I am bringing all five feet of Blue Sargent as a new Warden. At 18 (she promises she's only a summer away from turning 19!) with strong feelings on morality and right vs wrong, and zero combat experience she is an excellent choice to be a Warden.

About the canon: The Raven Cycle is a YA urban fairytale. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend it whole-heartedly. Unfortunately, Blue is taken from right at the end of her canon so there will be spoilers. (Let me know if you want me to avoid them in threads with you, but consider this your spoiler warning for her in general and this post specifically!)

About Blue: she is the only person in her immediate and extended (blood-relation not required) family who isn't some brand of psychic. She has a power, but it is largely useless to her; in essence, she is a walking battery/amplifier for the powers of others. Spirits get LOUD around her. And she can't hear a thing.

All of her life she has fought really hard not to want things she can't have and all of her life she has failed pretty miserable. At the time I am taking her from, she has found her true love and is on her way to a great adventure.

She's a little idealistic, quite judgmental, and a LOT motivated to graduate someone. Her wardening style is going to start out gentle and then grow up from there. (Let's talk about what kind of things your character needs and what you want to put them through. Blue won't be cruel for the sake of being cruel, but cruel to be kind is an option.)

She is going to be pretty pumped about the starship stuff and she still has that teenage black/white view of morality (though one might argue there's a lot of actual grayscale being shoved into that sharp binary) so that should be fun. Ever been judged by a teenager? That's Blue for you. She can be prickly, argumentative, and quick to anger, but there's this softness to her. She grew up in good soil, water with lots of love and sometimes that just shines through.

C'mon. You know you want to let her help your character become a better person. Let's aim for forgiveness and making good choices!

About me: I work-from-work, and have been through like 75% of this pandemic. I am CST (CDT right now) and my cutoff for tagging on a weeknight is 9 PM 'cause have to get ready for bed. I married an elementary school teacher so our alarm goes off hella early in the morning!

I'm a slow tagger. Mostly because I haven't learned how to not tl;dr and it takes time to knock out five paragraphs. I swear I am working on it. I tend to tag in order of which tags are the easiest for me to knock back; When I don't, I tend to get too blocked, and end up tagging nothing. So I am so sorry if you see me tagging out of order, that's just the only thing that works for me. Believe me, it's never you or your quality (sometimes the best tags are the ones I save for last just because I want to make sure I'm in a headspace to do them justice). Never feel bad if you have to drop threads or want to handwave CR. We're all adults here, as 17-year-old Gansey would say. We have work and real life obligations and we are tired. I get it.

Hello! My name is Rana (she/her) and I come bearing Alina Starkov of Shadow & Bone (the Netflix version but I've read all the Grishaverse books). She's coming in as a warden, but I am all about leaning into the many things that make her a potentially bad warden which I elaborate on here. Basically, she's supposed to be a savior but that's a lot of pressure, ya know?

She's also a teenager who doesn't always think through all of the natural consequences of her actions before she does them. Her idea of a good escape plan is just to smuggle herself away by hiding in an unknown trunk and she very earnestly suggested two hats as a good disguise. She's sassy and honestly spent more of her life as the troublemaker than the authority figure, so this is a weird change of pace. Who thought a feral teen girl would make a good warden anyway (it'll be fun, I promise).

I'm on plurk hellbender but I am happy to plot exclusively via OOC comm, Discord, or PMs since my plurk is a mix of RL and RP. Also I love Annihilation so clearly I chose the correct time to hop on board.

Hello! I'm Nick, and I'm new to the game. I'm bringing Jerry here from a creepypasta series turned book series called Tales from the Gas Station. It's about a poor son of a bitch named Jack who works at a gas station that just has so much wrong with it I'd be here all day if I went into detail.

Anyway, about this guy here. His name is Jeremy Pascal but he goes by...pretty much anything but his real name. He prefers Jerry. Jerry is introduced into the story as a member of a cult called the Mathmetists who have this very specific philosophy about lowering the suffering of others and raising their happiness. Sounds great, right? It is until you get to the part where the Mathmetists have decided that their goal is impossible and the only way to end suffering is to blow up humanity. So, yeah. That's a thing. By his current canon point, he's no longer in said cult, but only because they uh...let's just say they left him behind. He might have some abandonment issues.

Despite the murder cult, which he vehemently denies is a cult, Jerry is a friendly guy who will throw himself into danger to help others, whether he knows them or not. A shame about the "ending humanity" thing.

He's also a total dumbass and probably a cartoon character in disguise but also a secret genius. He's the kind of guy to quote some insightful philosophy or rattle off about theoretical physics right before making a dick joke. so I'm super looking forward to having him cause some trouble ranging from "this is so goddamn stupid" to "that was scarily strategic" to...sometimes both. He's reckless as hell so if you need a guy to join in on some ridiculous plot to cause trouble he's your guy!

He also knows way too much about bombs. Wonder why.

Hi I'm Raven and I'm bad at punchy intro lines

I bring to you one Misty Day, a very fun character from a very okay show. Her world is modern day earthmerica Except There's Scary Supernatural Stuff; she is herself a witch whose primary schtick is raising the dead. (Being undead is her secondary schtick. Her third is Stevie Nicks cosplay.) She spent her whole life knowing she was ~different~ and waiting to figure out precisely why and find her people, both of which happened and went really horribly, she's kind of fucked up about it.

She spent around three years on another Barge and graduated two inmates, (one of whom is William!! Isn't he great!!!) and on the whole she quite likes wardening! There will be a difference in her previous tenure being completely voluntary and driven by her own interest whereas at present she's here because her absolute worst fear has been realized, which I'm excited to feel out in play.

On the whole she's very social, Wants To Be Useful, and while she might keep to herself while she gets her bearings I expect she'll want to make herself very available and involved soon enough.

Quick things to highlight: while she's very friendly and (at least typically) outgoing, she holds pretty much everyone at arm's length until she has a very solid reason to do otherwise! Meaningful cr with her tends to be very slowburn for this reason — I am more than willing to plot proactively to move things along if anyone is especially interested or if it for any reason becomes unfun to play! Secondly, she'll be keeping her powers very under wraps for pretty much as long as she's able.

Viktor is a techmaturgical engineer from the steampunk/junkpunk combo city-state of Piltover/Zaun. The short version: born in the polluted undercity, came up to get good so he could help the people below, formed a codependent partnership with a muscular nerd, invented an evil polyhedron, acquired some technorganic extremities, got someone killed, is sad. He's skinny and tired and doesn't have time for other people's bullshit, but other people's bullshit is now his job on this starship so that's too bad for him.

I'm bringing you this OC, a human tire fire known as Theo Crawford. Here is his little blurb about what to expect from him for any potential Wardens, as this guy is an Inmate who will be lucky to ever get out of this place!

Theo is a 19 year old mostly self-taught mage who turned out to have a knack for necromancy. He's from an Earth similar to ours (just magicky), lived in San Francisco, and is coming from the year 1948. Theo has about a billion problems, one of them being a big obsession with magic and power, and he totally lost his mind in the pursuit of it. Long story short, he decided the best way to become feared and respected, while also getting revenge on those who wronged him, was to unleash magic hell on his home city in the form of zombies. Thanks to him nearly a thousand people died! And magic was brought into the forefront of society and subsequently regulated by government to the point where it was no fun anymore. But hey, he doesn't know that last part, because he totally got caught by the FBI and executed on the spot for his crimes. Whoops.

Theo needs precisely 100000000 hours of therapy to ever even coming close to admitting the remorse he feels for what he did out loud, but hey, it's not a non-zero chance! He's never had any friends or many people who've ever really cared about him, so maybe even this nutjob can still turn a corner someday if things go well here. But to start, he's going to be majorly cranky, and the lack of booze and cigraettes are only gonna make it worse!! Hoo boy.

He's had a year at home to start unfucking his mistakes and hang out with his daughter, so he's chilled out some, but he WILL be an irritating coworker for a while (sorry wardens) and MAY have several crises about What It Means to Be a Good Person/his body being 3D printed/etc (sorry everyone).
