Loki would point out that if they're able to rig an alert, they could potentially set up a way for warden's to open the infirmary remotely as well. Maybe take advantage of the biotech and have the alert indicate which inmate's attempting access so wardens can decide whether to open it. (OOC: so wardens can fight about whether warden A letting inmate X into the infirmary was the right choice, wardens can fuck up and leave an inmate bleeding out because they don't trust them, etc...)
He'll also observe that on the previous ship, inmates who weren't interested in doing their assigned jobs just...didn't do them. And here a lot of chores are just 100% not necessary because of the tech. He agrees that the inmates need something to do, but it might mean coming up with individual tasks for each inmate so they stay engaged and actually get something out of it-- possibly off-ship more often than not. Maybe they can ask the Navarch for updates on what sorts of planets (etc.) they're passing so wardens can come up with mission ideas?
...Hey uh you want a double to come with you just. For no reason. Not so you don't look alone and easy to knock out and stuff into a closet or anything.
