Time to drug the wardens, as god intended
Hello lovelies. This is an OOC post regarding a player plot I'm trying to hatch here!
To summarize, Theo has been working in the greenhouse and has stumbled across a plant that has a contact poison that will knock a human(oid) out cold upon skin contact. Probably used in those delightful sleeping pills we're supplied with.
He'll be spending time saving up clippings to distribute to the other inmates to use against the wardens next time they land at port to make an escape attempt. Then they can all make a break for it!
The finer points:
• obviously all the inmates will have to be wrangled back in the end.
• wardens are free to choose how much or how little they are affected by the poison. Or if your inmate accidentally gets poisoned too and misses out, whoops .
• Theo is going to try and approach inmates individually or in small groups to discuss, wherever the wardens are not atm. Ie, the dorms, the mess hall, the hallways while he's cleaning (post coming soon).
• if someone doesn't want to participate at all, that's fine! totally optional!
• not sure what port is going to be like, probably something inconsequential considering, but I want to let the mods plan that part out or work with them to come up with something. I don't want folks missing out on Super Cool Port Stuff.
• I absolutely want Theo caught one way or the other, but he will be completely tight-lipped about the details. At least to start out, I imagine. But if anyone wants to blame him, please do.
• not all wardens can/will be effected, so they are free to chase right after and grab some inmates, or stay behind and help the unconscious wardens. They'll be unharmed other than being asleep for like 15-60 minutes, or however long you want. Shocking I know, but Theo isn't actually out to kill anyone here.Yet
It's been a very long time since I've done any DWRP gaming plotting like this, so I'm sure I'm forgetting important things. Please share your ideas, do some plotting, etc! I come from a tabletop background so I tend to get really into the details because. Well because tabletop. But it's fine to just take me by the shoulders and shake me to remind me that there are certain things okay with being handwaved.
My concern right now is how to IC hand this stuff out safely - any inmates with access to the infirmary that can steal a box of latex gloves?
And very importantly: if an inmate would rat Theo out, let me know ASAP. I'm totally down with this possibility! We can call this whole thing off and maybe proceed with port as normal, while Theo suffers the consequences alone.

When Theo initially heard about the other escape attempt, he scoffed at the idea since the planet they were visiting seemed pretty dull. He's since come around on the idea because he's really starting to freak the fuck out. He also didn't want to leave without getting his spellcasting ability back, but he's stopped caring, which honestly speaks volumes about his current state of mind. He doesn't care where it is or what it's like, the next port is The One For Him because he can't stand to be on the Peregrine or around wardens for much longer. And he at least knows he's not alone in wanting this.
I'll make a post later this week for him to talk to folks but he probably won't hand out the clippings until closer to the date of port, probably the night before.

Lucifer will be not very affected by the plant buuuuuuuut I can have him be drowsy for a bit, maybe even take a short nap. It's like stuff like that works at about 10% of what it would for a normal human. So he'll wake up quick, realize an inmate probably fucked with them, and go on the hunt!!!! WHO WANTS TO HUNT WITH HIM.

Viktor's a little elusive presently, but if he's dosed he's toast. His body will take it as "oh are we sleeping now, fucking finally" and keep him out for at least three hours.

BUT i will be mostly focusing on silco for this, to avoid playercest. on that end of things, silco will uh probably need to be convinced not to knife any sleeping wardens on their way out. or encouraged!
so if anyone actually wants to die, your chance etc.
he'll suggest using the waterproof shower bags as gloves, but i'd be delighted to thread some experimentation with what works or doesn't / the process of building them before that.
