MINI-EVENT: MIMICS

So Bhujerba was a nice little break, right? The Navarch was also kind enough to arrange for the ship crew to onboard some goods for the wardens and inmates to use on their journey, and have it delivered to the storage facility for later use.

Except oops: some of it is now missing! Seeing as shipping containers don't just walk off on their own, someone must have pinched it. Passengers will have to figure out what happened to the missing freight. (And surprise, the Peregrine accidentally took on some Mimics — large insects that pose as Bhujerban shipping containers. But what's a little conflict between wardens and inmates over who is responsible, huh?)

This plotting post is also going to be a little different from the others. We'd like you to reply here with some items your character would want from home (feel free to give us multiple ideas). We'll matchmake those items with a character who will eventually find it, and try to direct it to its rightful owner. RNG threads! Who doesn't love a good RNG thread?

If you'd like an item from home, respond here! Please note that the mods may not RNG all items, depending on player involvement and if something is deemed setting-breaking. If you have any preferences, please mark what your character would like most.

Items must be specific/personal to the character and removing it from the world shouldn't cause any issues — basically, nothing plot important. And remember: inmates can't have anything that would be considered contraband.

If you'd like your character to kill a mimic and collect the items it's carrying, respond here! You may request multiple items, but remember: it's on your character to figure out who the loot rightfully belongs to. (Or not.)

I see we can request loot--what kind of loot? Or do we just make something up? Also my char doesn't really have items from home in his canon game--it's okay if I make stuff up, right?

You can make something up, as long as it's somehow linked directly to Alex (e.g., photographs of loved ones that might not necessarily be shown in canon but surely exist, a presumed favorite childhood toy, etc).

And the loot header is for the RNG aspect of the event! By destroying a mimic, a character can pick up whatever items it's carrying. These will be randomized from the submissions header.

I would like to submit the following items. Sadly most of these are headcanon as his canon doesn't give him much really.
-Childhood Photo of Alex and Dana before Alex moved out.
-Gentek Labcoat (Embroidered with Dr. Alex Mercer on the pocket)
-Alex's notes from Gentek, working on the virus.
-Dana's laptop with all her findings from the unraveling of the conspiracy until she gets kidnapped. (This last one is canon, but isn't very important once Dana gets kidnapped in game.)

• One big weird looking key on a simple chain. It's for unlocking the shotgun collar, and is completely useless
• Pig mask. Made of latex. Has lanky black fake hair coming off of it. Looks yuck

Of all of these she'd probably like the robe or the key the most and would truly truly hate to get the puppet :) just so you know

Does the item need to be something your character actually wants, or can it be something the Navarch might think they'd want?

Caaaaaan characters receive items their breach/alternate universe selves possessed? (I know, I know, I'm sorry.)

What happens to mimic corpses after they're killed? Just lying around? I DON'T UNDERSTAND VIDEO GAMES

1) Items don't need to be something they want! The Navarch would collect something if she thought it might be useful to them somehow.

2) Tragically, no items that belonged to characters' breach or alt selves.

3) The mimic corpses just chill until the passengers dispose of them! Have fun airlocking them.
